Did the update break Poster?
  • Since the update, the Aperture 3 export plugin no longer functions (it says it cannot find Poster and advises me to install and open it). Also, tags do not function at all. When I attempt to tag someone in a photo, it uploads to Facebook with no tags, then Poster tells me it was unable to upload because tag data could not be validated.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any plans for a fix? I sure hope it comes soon. This was not a cheap app...
  • Sorry. Tried and failed to post screenshots. Unable to completely delete comment.
  • Sorry about that, it should be fixed now. Please install the latest version from here: http://reinventedsoftware.com/poster/downloads/Exporters.pkg
  • Thanks, but now I get a different error message reading "An error occurred trying to copy the files. The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 1.).

Also, the tagging issue I mention occurs independently of the plug in even with standalone Poster...
  • Let me know if you'd like me to e-mail you screenshots, log info, etc.
  • Also - if it matters - I'm using the App Store version.
  • For the copying error, try the latest version, at the same link, this was another teething problem with the Mac App Store version, sorry:

The tagging issue sounds like a problem with your Facebook account. If you like you can send the log files after this error has occurred in Poster so I can verify that and at least file a bug report with them. You can see these by choosing Help > Open Server Transcripts folder from menu in Poster. Send the Facebook logs to poster@reinventedsoftware.com. Thanks.
  • The file copying cocoa error persists with the new version. I'll send the logs over right away.

    Thanks!
